☻ We would like to hold the annual neighborhood BBQ this year in early September as usual, as long as we can comply with county rules. No decision has been made. Please expect an update by mid-summer.

☻ Skywood Association elections for Board members will take place in December 2019 through January 2020. The deadlines:

- Nominations and self-nominations are due no later than December 4, 2019 at 5 P.M.

- Ballots are distributed by December 7, 2019 at 5 P.M.

- Ballots and dues are due by January 8, 2020 at 5 P.M.

- Meeting to count the ballots is in mid-January 2020. Please check your email for more details.

August 2019 update: 

☻ Thanks to everyone who helped make this year's Skywood Association annual meeting and BBQ happen on August 25! Also thanks to Ayala Catering and Jerry Anderson's Chaine d'Or Vineyards for generously providing their excellent wine (available at Robert's Market in Woodside).

☻ The Association's gate hardware installation on top of the private easement purchased in December 2017 by the Association running from Skywood Way to Skyline has passed final inspection by the Town of Woodside. If you're a neighborhood resident, you should have received email by August 26 with further information.

June 2019 update: 

☻ Thanks to everyone who was able to attend our June 17 meeting with PG&E representatives to discuss tree work in our neighborhood.

May 2019 update: 

☻ There will likely be a Skywood Association meeting in early June with PG&E and Davey Tree to discuss tree work in our neighborhood. See your email for details.

April 2019 update: 

☻ The Town of Woodside has approved and issued the Association's permit to electrify and automate the gate to Skyline Boulevard that sits atop our private easement. Steps remaining include trenching, conduit install and electrification, gate hardware installation, and receiver installation.

March 2019 update: 

☻ The Woodside Town Council met on March 13 and approved a lowered CalWater tank in response to concerns expressed by the Association. The water tank height will be 30 feet, instead of the 48-foot tank that CalWater proposed a few years ago. The Association thanks the Council and looks forward to working with CalWater during construction.

February 2019 update:

☻ The Skywood Association board met on February 4, 2019. The board unanimously approved a resolution honoring former Skywood Association board member John Kapel for his service to our community and his work in creating our Skywood neighborhood in the 1950s.

December 2018 update:

☻ The Skywood Association board met on December 3, 2018 to discuss elections.

November 2018 update:

☻ The Skywood Association board met with representatives of CalWater in early November. Discussions are ongoing. The Board has told the town and CalWater that our neighborhood supports upgrading our water infrastructure provided it is done in a manner that does not threaten or damage our safety or property.

October 2018 update:

☻ The Skywood Association board met on Tuesday, October 30.

☻ On October 16, the Skywood Association sent Town Council its response to CalWater's October 12 letter.

September 2018 update:

☻ Thanks to everyone who helped make this year's Skywood Association annual meeting and BBQ happen! About 60 to 70 people showed up and enjoyed the food (thank you to La Taquiza Zarape for the catering). Also thanks to Chaine d'Or Vineyards for generously providing their excellent wine.

☻ The Skywood Association invited both candidates for the vacant District 7 seat to our annual meeting and BBQ. The two candidates on the ballot are Ned Fluent and Frank Rosenblum.

☻ On September 5, the Skywood Association sent Town Council its response to CalWater's August 20 letter. 

August 2018 update:

☻ On August 20, CalWater responded to our appeal regarding its proposed oversize tank that would replace the existing tank along Stadler Drive. They have agreed to meet with the Skywood Association to discuss the neighborhood's concerns.

☻ On August 1, the Skywood Association signed an agreement regarding neighborhood pedestrian and vehicular access to the passageway connecting the end of Stadler Drive to the Four Corners commercial district. This implements the June 26 Memorandum of Understanding.

☻ To residents who have been invited to pay a gate license fee for access to Skyline via our private easement and have not yet done so: the current license fee is likely to increase as of September 10. To take advantage of the current fee, please pay by September 9.

July 2018 update: 

☻ On July 2, the Skywood Association filed a supplemental appeal regarding CalWater's proposed oversize tank.

June 2018 update: 

☻ On June 26, the Skywood Association entered into a Memorandum of Understanding regarding neighborhood pedestrian and vehicular access to the passageway connecting the end of Stadler Drive to the Four Corners commercial district.

☻ There was a Skywood Association board meeting on June 4 where the license fee for gate access over the private easement was set. This is optional and is only required if you wish to have access.

May 2018 update: 

☻ There was a Skywood Association board meeting on May 7, which included a discussion of license fees for access to the forthcoming gate along the private easement to Skyline Boulevard.

☻ There was a neighborhood watch and emergency preparedness meeting on May 23.

April 2018 update:

☻ There was a discussion for residents of Skywood Acres and Still Creek regarding the Portola Valley School District on April 26.

December 2017 update: The Woodside Town Council has approved a resolution allowing The Skywood Association to install an automation system, paid for with its own funds, on the forthcoming gate on our private easement to Skyline Boulevard.
